Arsenal and Manchester City are planning a summer transfer tussle for the signature of Aston Villa's highly-rated midfielder Danny Crowley, reviews the Daily Mirror. The 15-year-old England youth international - already dubbed the brand new Jack Wilshere - has been getting rave opinions at Villa Park in 2010, after having a series of scintillating performances for the Premier League club's development side, and has attracted attention from the amount of rival suitors. Gunners employer Arsene Wenger has been credited with an interest in bringing Crowley to the Emirates Stadium, as he appears to snap up another promising young talent, with a view to growing the player and helping to bring him through to the first-team. Nevertheless, Arsenal may face opposition from the reigning Premier League winners, as Roberto Mancini also considers an effort to lure the player to the Etihad Stadium. Birmingham City may fancy their odds of tempting the academy star up north, where among Crowley's old Aston Villa mentors is now area of the employment team. Apartment chiefs may hope to tie the gifted teenager down to a permanent commitment when he is old enough to do this, in the hope to defend against unwelcome enquiries from Arsenal and Manchester City. But, failure to do this you could end up the Midlands team dropping Crowley for alongside nothing, with a tiny compensation charge all that they will get for managing his progress.
