La Dodgers star pitcher Zack Greinke has hit Hillcrest Padres non-star-hitter Carlos Quentin 3 times. The third time was yesterday, and it resulted in a bench-clearing brawl. Greinke says it wasnat deliberate, but that wonat heal his collarbone. Quentin billed the mound with Ray Lewisian strength, and Greinke tried to digest the attack with his shoulder, that has been a, bad, concept. That would be considered a fractured collarbone (on his non-throwing arm), and that would be poor. No plan has been reported, but a personal injury that way generally takes six-to-eight days to treatment. The clash continued following the game. Matt Kemp faced off with Quentin and Padres teammate Clayton Richard while leaving the stadium, and both parties pointed responsibility at one another during interviews. Matt Kemp and Quentin needed to be divided by police, after the game. We feel for Greinke, actually. But he should certainly understand that taking a 6-foot-4, 240lb. manas complete charge with his neck is just a bad, bad idea. This should make for a fun rivalry. [Big League Stew]
