Marcos Alonso in Bolton commitment discussions

For a lot of this year, Marcos Alonso has appeared as if precisely what Bolton Wanderers require in a fullback. The large, Spanish opponent is not afraid to getting forward but is also a lot more than ready at the back, protecting the flanks. All that seems great considering that Alonso is merely 22 years old and posseses an excellent future before him. Well, great before you understand that there is only 8 weeks left on his Bolton commitment. In January, Alonso had denied a brand new agreement as shift talks to Swansea, Fiorentina, and Stoke City had swirled. The Italian side, Fiorentina, were probably the best prospect there with rumors abound which they had provided Marcos an offer (roughly) comparable to double his Bolton contract and the chance of playing in Europe. Manhattan project Viola are in fourth place in the Serie A dining table, six details shy of third place. Fifth and fourth places ensures Europa League play while third spot enters the Champions League in the first qualifying period. Fiorentina's bet for Alonso was proved by the club but their value of Alonso's then-five weeks to play was considerably below what Bolton needed. Alonso came to Bolton Wanderers in summer time of 2010, ordered by Owen Coyle from Real Madrid for a fee around A2 million. Alonso has built 42 appearances of those nearly 36 months for the Trotters but as he has found himself starting week in and week out 25 of those came this year. Speaing frankly about Alonso's contract condition, boss Dougie Freedman told the Bolton News: "Marcos is playing by the rules," the manager said. "His agreement is running down. Marcos has been offered a so far so good and new deal. He's not mentioned ano' to it. He said he is contemplating it. "He wants to see which direction the team is going; not in terms of what group we will be playing in terms that he wants to play weekly, he wants to be taught and progress. "He has not mentioned ano' and we're not doing too defectively in terms of training him and making him play each week. We've got our fingers crossed on that certain. "But if he doesn't I'll still visit bed at 9pm every night and still employ a good sleep and proceed and get some one else." Alonso signing a contract would have been a important boost for Bolton because it has become apparent that Alonso is rapidly improving. A broken forefoot had kept him out of action in previous times however for a lot of this season, Alonso has been damage free, allowing him to savor constant minutes. So far this year, Marcos Alonso has four objectives to his name, the most recent of which came at the weekend in Bolton's 2-0 win against Wolves. "We are working on video examination to see where he can get better. His back post defensive headers are terrific today. "He has always been an approaching full-back so there's no problem there. So we are able to do no more" he is getting in.
