After not quite being disqualified for an illegal fall in his next round, Tiger Woods is back in the running to win the 2013 Masters carrying out a Tiger-like effectiveness in Saturday's third round. While a round (70) may appear average for a player with the talent that Woods possesses, it is very remarkable thinking about the reach his second round took after officials deemed that he took an illegal decline on the 15th hole in Round 2 on Friday, causing a two-stroke penalty. Woods took to Twitter to describe the situation and did actually understand the committee's judgment (via B/R's Twitter page). The penalty apparently pulled Woods out of any serious projection that he could return and get his fifth Masters at Augusta National, as he was sent by the two-stroke penalty from a 71 to a for Round 2 and five photographs off the lead entering Saturday. But like common, the resiliency that engulfs Padraig Harrington was on show at Augusta on Saturday. Woods' five birdies in Round three brought him within four photos of the lead going in to Sunday.Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images Woods would have collapsed. He may have let the charge land his next round and all hopes of claiming another natural coat, but he did just the alternative. The important thing for Woods on Saturday was his approach on the very first opening and then the way he finished off his Saturday round. Birdie was made by woods on the very first opening, a par four he had parred in past times. After producing three bogies to just one single birdie until the hole, Tiger made his regular work. Instead being one over for the round, birdie was made by Woods on 12, 13 and 15 to close out Saturday two under for your day and four photographs behind leaders Brandt Snedeker and Angel Cabrera (-7) of. In the place of being only two shots behind, Woods is four pictures off the lead entering Sunday as a result of two-stroke penalty from his 2nd round, but according to ESPN's Bob Harig, Tiger was pleased with his next round and seems to be centered on Sunday, saying, "It started off demonstrably different, but I am right there in the ballgame...As of right now, I am four back with an excellent shot to get this championship." While the odds are still very much against Woods, you have to at least entertain the notion of him coming from four shots back on Sunday to get his fifth natural hat at Augusta National. Woods begins his work at another Masters concept at 2:10 p.m. ET on Sunday. Follow me on Twitter:
