West Ham 2-2 Manchester United: Match report and pictures - The Sun

A stunning curling effort from Mohamed Diame looked to have won the game for the Hammers until the Dutchman's tidy finish.

The Red Devils showedwhy they had already earned 27 points from losing positions this term, but Alex Ferguson will not be happy with their performance.

Carroll clashed with United stopper David De Gea either side of the break and earned himself a yellow card for the second offence.

In between Phil Jones missed a great chance to put his team in front as he failed to direct Van Persie's cutback goalwards.

Wayne Rooney had an effort cleared off the line by Gary O'Neil and Jussi Jaaskelainen pulled off a great stop from Van Persie.

Kagawa's strike came back off both posts and the lethal finsher guided the ball into the roof of the net following up.
